A doctoral dissertation at the College of Fine Arts, University of Basra, examined the relevant text and its reflection on contemporary Iraqi sculptural ceramics. The thesis presented by researcher Karim Taha Nehme included four chapters between the first chapter, the general framework of the research, so it included the research problem, which came to ask the following? Are there signs of the verb of the text relating to the sculptural work of contemporary Iraqi potters? 

As for the second chapter, which was concerned with the theoretical framework, it contained three topics. The first topic was entitled The Concept of the Text in Formation .. The second section was entitled Formatively the Problems of Relationship .. As for the third section, it was titled Structural Significance of the Text Relating to Sculptural Ceramics.
As for the third chapter, it included the method used in the research, the research community, the sample and the research tool, and then the sample analysis.
The fourth chapter lap out results, conclusions and recommendations.

It showed the importance of the research, its objectives, and its limits, which were defined by sculptural ceramics, for contemporary Iraqi potters for the period from 1971 to 2017.

The thesis concluded .. The potter stuck the components of the texts of his achievements with his tendency towards symbolic expression, and proceeded to the act of cross-fertilization between all that can be drawn from the forms of personal reality and between the hidden symbol that affects the construction and composition of his texts.

The thesis recommended .. the potter founded some forms of his ceramic sculptural accomplishments, the principle of complementarity between the shapes included in the general construction of the scene.
