A master's thesis at Basra University examines the image and representations of women in the texts of Ali Abdul Nabi Al-Zaidi

A master's thesis in the College of Fine Arts, University of Basra, examined the image of women and their representations in the texts of Ali Abd al-Nabi al-Zaidi. The thesis presented by the researcher Azhar Sharif Obaid included four chapters that included the first chapter the research problem, the importance and objectives of the research, the limits of research and the definition of terms. In the second chapter the researcher dealt with two topics. They are the image of women and their representations in philosophy, psychology and literature, and the image of women and their representations in the world and Arab theater. The researcher came out with the indicators of the theoretical framework where they were returned as a tool for the analysis of the sample presented in the dissertation, and the fourth chapter presented the most important results and conclusions.

The research concluded.

The representations presented by the playwright of the image of women in his models were distinguished by the fact that women differed in the levels of these representations, as they appeared according to these representations.

The symbolic level through its representations in the images of wars and disasters, the religious level, the social level, the psychological level.

The research recommended that women in the texts of Ali Abd al-Nabi al-Zaidi reject the circumstances surrounding them despite their dealing with these circumstances with a kind of persistence, as in the play of Ibn al-Khaybah, and deal with a kind of adherence to her goals despite the difficulty of achieving these goals.
