Under the auspices of the president of the University of Basra, Prof. Dr. Muhannad Jawad al – Asadi, and under the supervision of the dean of the Faculty of Fine Arts, Prof. Dr. Nasser Samari Jafar, and in compliance with the directives of the Ministry of higher education and scientific research in supporting sustainability initiatives and enhancing environmental awareness within the campus; a number of fourth stage students/ nahh branch in the Department of plastic arts-morning study, implemented a volunteer campaign for afforestation in the College Gardens.
The campaign aims to promote environmental awareness among community members about the importance of afforestation and its role in improving the quality of life in creating a healthy and sustainable environment for future generations.
This initiative comes within the framework of the directives of the Ministry of higher education and scientific research to promote responsible environmental practices within universities and activate the role of students in projects that support environmental awareness and Community Action.
