The Faculty of Fine Arts at the University of Basra, women's affairs unit, in cooperation with the Department of Plastic Arts, organized an awareness campaign entitled "stopping extortion is the responsibility of all of us". The campaign, which was supervised by Assistant Teacher sudid Ayed Abdul Ali and Mrs. Khadija Shoukry Faisal, aims to spread awareness of the dangers of extortion and its psychological, social and legal effects, and highlight ways to prevent it and mechanisms to deal properly with this phenomenon.
The campaign activities included the distribution of awareness brochures that included guidelines and tips explaining the seriousness of extortion and the need to report it, as well as emphasizing the joint role of educational institutions and society in reducing this phenomenon and protecting individuals, especially the youth and university students.
