The Department of art education at the Faculty of Fine Arts at the University of Basra, in cooperation with the educational guidance unit, organized an activity to revive the popular religious heritage ( Zakariya day), which falls on the first Sunday of the month of Sha'ban .
This activity aims to revive our Iraqi heritage in general and visual in particular .
This activity included the display of pottery engraved with phrases indicating this occasion (yazkariya aoudi alia), the presentation of handicrafts, in addition to the presentation of special sweets symbolizing the celebration of this annual occasion .
This activity was attended by the dean of the Faculty of Fine Arts A.M.Dr. Ali Abdullah al-Kanani and the head of the Department of art education M.Dr. Salah Naama Abdel Aali and the head of the guidance unit M.M. Alia Abdul Zahra and a collection of professors of the Department of art education and college students .
