Under the patronage of the president of the University of Basra, Dr. Mohannad Jawad al-Asadi, and under the supervision of the dean of the Faculty of Fine Arts, Dr. Nasser Samari Jafar. The women's Affairs Unit at the Faculty of Fine Arts organized an awareness seminar entitled" Your strength is in your consciousness – empowering women to face breast cancer", as part of ongoing efforts to promote health awareness and empower women to prevent and detect this disease early.
The seminar aimed to spread the health culture and awareness of the importance of early screening for breast cancer, and to emphasize that early detection is the most important step in the journey of treatment and recovery.
The seminar presented by Dr. RIA Habib Al-Shawi included a detailed presentation in which she discussed the most important prevention methods and factors helping to reduce the incidence of the disease, in addition to introducing the health centers and hospitals that provide free examination services and appropriate treatment.
The seminar witnessed a wide interaction from the attendees, who praised the importance of these awareness initiatives in promoting the culture of Public Health and encouraging women to take effective preventive steps.
