Under the supervision of the dean of the Faculty of Fine Arts, assistant professor Dr. Ali Abdullah al-Kanani, the Faculty of Fine Arts established the Department of art education by organizing the birthday celebration of Imam Ali (peace be upon him). 
The festival opened with verses from the wise Zikr, then the national anthem, followed by a speech by the head of the art education department, M.Dr. Salah Naama Abdul Ali, in which he spoke about the personality of the Amir of the believers, Imam Ali (peace be upon him), and also blessed the efforts of the students for what they did to hold this celebration in the presence of the dean of the Faculty of Fine Arts, A.M.Dr. Ali Abdullah al-Kanani and a number of department heads, teachers, staff and students of the college.
The festival included many poems and poems that were organized on this fragrant occasion, as well as asking religious questions and distributing gifts to the owners of the correct answer.
